Rae of Sunshine

The Auburn Arts Commission is proud to sponsor area artist, Bethany Crowe, and her work, “Rae of Sunshine” in this year’s Downtown Auburn Business Association (DABA) and Auburn Main Street Art Exhibit: Sip and Smile, Auburn Style.

As ACC Board Member, Kathryn Bassett notes in her KPC News article DABA/Auburn Main Street’s 15th summer exhibit:

“Sip & Smile Auburn Style” is made up of 20 wooden patio bars featuring art created by local and regional artists. The bars were built by local carpenter Craig Presley from 4 Quarter Wood Products of Pleasant Lake. The exhibit has been sponsored by individuals, businesses and organizations and will remain on display through Labor Day.

“Rae of Sunshine” by Bethany Crowe, sponsored by the Auburn Arts Commission is located on 10th and Main Streets near the Moose (spot number 8 on the map below)

An art walk is slated for July 11. The public is invited to join in this free tour where they will hear from the artists about their inspirations and techniques used in creating their works.

The top three patio bars will receive cash prizes at the exhibit’s conclusion. YOU are invited to use the ballot from the exhibit brochures to vote for your three favorite bars. Turn those ballots in at Carbaugh Jewelers by September 1.

The patio bars will be available for purchase at the “Sip & Smile” annual “FUNdraising” dinner auction on September 11. Proceeds will fund future summer art exhibits and other downtown Auburn activities throughout the year.
