Since 1994, the Snowbound Writers’ Contest has sought to give writers who live and/or work in DeKalb County an opportunity to be recognized for their creative efforts. Contest Judging is completed by individuals who reside outside of DeKalb County and are either professional writers, teachers, or involved in the written media and/or the arts. This year’s judge was Anne Gregory of North Manchester who has a long-time career in journalism and education.
Gregory, a North Manchester resident, has won national and state awards for newspaper editing and column writing. Gregory recently retired following a 30-plus year career in newspapers and as communications director at Manchester University.
Prizes will be awarded later in the spring.
