Snowbound Writers' Contest

Snowbound Writers’ Contest

Now in its 31st year of competition, The Snowbound Writers’ Contest accepts submissions in the categories of Poetry and Short Story. Entries are anonymously judged by someone outside the AAC and (generally) DeKalb County. Prize awards for first, second, and third place are presented.

Medal of Arts Award

Medal of Arts

First awarded in 1993, the Medal of Arts award is given annually in a rotating list of categories: artist, author, drama and theater, music, and patron of the arts. It recognizes people who have contributed to the cultural life of the area in one of those categories.

Young Musicians Festival

The Young Musicians Festival scheduled for July 2024 has been canceled . We’re sorry for any inconvenience and are hopeful we can revisit this event's potential for 2025. Stay tuned and please feel free to share your ideas and suggestions.

Following in the footsteps of the Auburn Arts Commission's highly successful; "Sculptures on the Square" exhibit in 2007 and 2010, DABA felt it was necessary to continue with the annual tradition that has made Auburn a destination for the many visitors who enjoy outdoor public art.
